Eff Monday Oct 30th 2017 New rates for public cars from Puerto Plata to Sosua 60 pesos day , 65 pesos at night. Pto Plata - Playa Dorado 30 day , 35 night, pto plata - cangrejo 40 day , 45 night , pto plata - la union 50 day , 55 night .

Similar 5 peso increases at intermediate stops along the way

Can someone verify the current prices for all public transportation, please? Cabarete/Sosua is what I would like to know mostly. Carrito, guagua, and motoconcho. I have tried to find it myself, but everywhere says something different. Thanks in advance!

I have never used these public taxis, but if gasolina goes up further I may abandon my car for this cheap method. I figure my immune system is built up enough to go assh*le to elbow in a public taxi with the Hepatitis crowd, then transfer to a punk on a motoconcho to my final destination, then wait in the rain to catch one bsck.... Naw, never mind.
