    Default Residency renewal

Anyone applied for renewal online lately ?

After "iniciar" my session and choosing the option, instead of normal "requisitos" page, I get a pop up saying " go to your nearest officina " or something or other.

Was wondering if it was particular to me, ot if the damn thing just isnt workimg.

    Thanks.

Just logged on and was able to access my info without a problem. Have you uploaded your documents yet or are you just starting the process?

Later on in the afternoon i was able to access the "upload page ", but only for renewal of temp. Residency.

Will probably go past DGM in santiago tomorrow to ask some questions. ( for the life of me i cant remember how many times i renewed temp residency ).

    Thanks

Does anyone know where the DGM office moved to in the Punta Cana/ Bavaro area. Last time I used it, it was in Veron but it's not there anymore.

Took a trip to santiago to DGM. Its not in that building/commercial center anymore, but on the road behind it, it has its own building now.
They were less than helpful. Couldnt tell me how many times i had renewed ( i know, i know, my fault ).
So just did the internet for renewal of temp. Residency.

    Another question.
I cant remember having to choose a location last year.
So i choose santiago on the internet site.
Does that mean i will not have to go to SD ? And do everything in santiago ?

As far as I know, SD is still the only place that foreigners can pickup residency cards and have a Cedula issued.

    That was my umderstanding too.

But what caught my attention was, on the internet page on the DGM site, where you choose whatever you want te be doing ( first time temp residency, first time permanemt residency, renewal of temp, renewal of permanemt, etc, etc...... ) you have to choose a location through a scroll menu thingy. There was 5 or 6 options. 2 in SD, 1 in santiago, the others i cant recall.
So just seems strange they addes this new " feature" if there is no use for it......
There again "strange" has a whole diffrent definition here

Did we have a post years ago about STI doing it ?
But it was sent to SD - then you waited for it to come back
