What's this "waiver" the first article talks about? Is this some sort of hand written agreement between the parents and the arrested kids, or something the parents offered up to the police in an attempt to negate the situation?

I've got a good idea what the waiver deals with I'm just not sure for whom the document was prepared. I assumed there is no standard codified form available for this type of arrangement?

If guilty I hope they are treated as adults. That poor 7 year old kid has some odds stacked against him having a normal life going forward. I only hope they can get him the help he needs.
