I am curious as to where Mofongo originated. I have always been of the belief that it was a Dominican dish but in Puerto Rico I was told that it was a Puerto Rican dish. The Mofongo I had in PR was not half as good as the one I've had in DR so I am still leaning towards Dominican - but does anyone know the true origins of it?
