Yesterday was my day off so I had decided to stay home and relax, but wow, the lights went out from 11am till 5 pm and then went out about 7pm till about 12am....damn. So I had about 2 hours of lights the whole day
Thanks to Eddy (the inverter man) I didn't sweat a drop as my fans and my lights were kept on by my power inverter.
Among all the household items that I have bought (in DR) the only household good that really gets my attention is the inverter. It keep my fans, TV and light bulb on when everyone else is in the dark-ages. In fact, i didn't even realize that the lights were out until i tried to turn on the AC.
I would like to know if lights are going out for such long periods of time in other parts of DR? Interesting to see that my office is in the center of city (santiago) and I usually have lights all day long but my home area is another story. I was told that lights go out for 6-7 hours daily. I don't realize that because I am at work but I am afraid that we are in for another long, tough summer....without lights
By the way, if you want dependable, inexpensive, durable power inverters call eddy (speaks perfect english) cel: 856 8029 (he lives in santo domingo but serves all DR). His inverters are the best with 100% overload / short circuit protection. If you have alot of money to burn then buy trace unit but always buy the Trojan batteries.
if you need further info on inverters please read the archives; there is tons of info.
