In an 'audencia'-court room in DR? Is this allowed to record the audio or this is not allowed? Thank you.

The court has discretion to allow the recording or broadcasting of a trial. Court hearings on the Odebrecht scandal were televised live last year, as were the trial of ex-President Salvador Jorge Blanco in 1987, and that of the murderers of the Mirabal sisters in 1962 (which I remember watching proudly because my father was the lead attorney for the Mirabal family).

Well apparently this is not allowed....both video and audio is prohibited-actually all cell phones must be silenced as well....At least this is the case in the Tierra de Tribunale audencia-sala.
