Green Pool

Returned from being away for 3 weeks. Pool a little green. Threw in some clorol. No longer green now its cloudy. Threw in some clear stuff. Green again. Back washed in between. Added the entire bottle of clear stuff. This morning its green. ARRGGHHHHHHH any ideas. Or is their a pool boy in the pop area. Thanks

Try Copper Sulfate works great but dont put too much.  Have you checled your ph?  You might need quick lime milk.  The chlorine will not work if the pool is too acidic

Chlorine has little effect if the ph is below 7.2-7.3. You'll get high chlorine readings as well as algae growth.

Get the ph right with soda ash, then shock the pool. Also, backwash the filter, then leave it running for at least 24 hours.
