Any El Conde regulars knew the woman that had her throat slit in the jewelry store (the one next to Proconsumidor) she worked?

It was in the news yesterday and some updates today. Two thieves walked in, forced her to open the safe box, took all the valuables including many jewelry, and before leaving one of the guys stabbed the attendant on her neck. A family member found her a few hours later.

A photo of the thief and assassin was captured from the security camera of the jewelry store. In the link can also see the victim: http://www.revista110.online/polici...cion-de-hombre-que-asesino-mujer-en-el-conde/

In this report, after family members of the victim are asked a few questions, the assassin is shown as he takes the knife out and assaults the lady. This took place in broad daylight.

They guy has already been caught.

They identified him almost immediately and found him in a pension out east. He killed her because he knew her from previous dealings and she recognized him.

Didn't help he left a trail of security cam videos from places he was spending money afterwards.

What a waste of oxygen.

Deseves its own thread, what a horrific story. No security guard at the Jewelry store?

The fact that the jewelry store is located diagonally from the Politur station on El Conde has caused many heated arguments among the denizens of said street. The "perp" said he killed her because she recognized him from visiting the store with jewelry to sell; simple as that.

He was taken into custody alive. The newspapers have covered it. He'll be given a fair trial and will do his thirty in jail.

The young man was captured in Higüey. In this morning program from today (18 June) they show images of the man under custody, the hotel where he was captured, and of the victim and more images of the assassin. Such a young guy throwing his life away for nothing. Such a shame. He had no criminal record.

According to other sources, he stole around RD$75,000 (equivalent to about US$1,600 +/-), but at the time of his captur had RD$60,000 with the rest he supposedly spent it. He also had many jewelry from the shop and the knife he used to kill the woman. His home in Santo Domingo Norte was also broken into while he was in Higüey and everything was taken except for the fridge, supposedly due to its very bad condition.

So sad for this young mother of 3. Things are getting out of hand in this country and most of parts of the world.

Yes extremely sad as she went to work that day only to be killed. Another angle. It seems that this guy was fencing stolen property at this Jewelry store with some frequency. Where did she think he was getting this stuff? A light needs to go off and you have to realize this guy could potentially be dangerous.

It doesn't justify this brutal murder, and I am sure you know that, but you do indeed have a point. What transpired before the killing? Why would this person intentionally enter the store to rob it when he knew darn well the woman would be able to identify him. Don't make sense...….

wonderful observation. i , like everyone else, have nothing but disdain for this sewer rat, but we have to be honest about things and say the obvious..

lie down with dogs, you might get fleas. she obviously was a cog in his fencing wheel. the irony is that this guy could have killed someone else to steal a chain, and that shop would probably have taken it, no questions asked. again, sadness for her, but clean hands are also important.

Much speculation here. She was an employee, probably it wasn’t her who made the rules about buying or not of stolen jewelry.

another good observation. something was not right there, and maybe she was a victim of the arrangements...maybe she was just following orders..
