NYC-SDQ BABY!
I always tell my friends how sad the malecon is. It's literally a giant cesspool and if they cared for tourism they would clean it up. All you see is tons of floating debris in the ocean or on the land that borders the ocean. Aqueroso!

Rio Ozama ………….. the brown water river that feeds into the Caribbean Sea at Santo Domingo Malecon………..

it is a shame that this has been allowed to happen.....it is a great place for a walk and a great asset for the locals and kids .Hopefully this publicity will get someones attention and it will get the area cleaned up

There was a video someone posted a while back of RAW sewage flowing through a cement Storm pipe right into the ocean... but someone else said it was possibly from a Brewing co ? and just looked bad, but was harmless? not sure..
But I never once doubted those Big Hotels probably just allow raw sewage to flow right into the ocean..
Disgusting.

allegedly cerveceria had nothing to do with it but they were fined for irregularities regarding their management of sewage:
