So a group of developers want to turn a prime ecological reserve into one of many run of the mill resort. The DR already has more than enough resorts, but these guys want to tear up the land, and to hell with some of the endangered species that call Bahia de las aguilas home.

Why does the tourism industry forget the stone age idea of all-inclusive resorts? Emphasis should be put on eco-tourism (the biggest growing sector of tourism). Not only would we work to protect our beautiful island but we can make money doing it, hell its worked for Costa Rica.

Build what you need not what you want. This is just another case of the wise use movement, whose motto goes something like "if it grows, cut it; if it flows, dam it;if its swampy, fill it; if it moves, kill it"

When oh when are we going to learn that more is not always better?
