Sadly, my skepticism turned out to be well founded. OK - to keep it DR related, how do you say "I drowned my sorrows last night" in Dominican Spanish?

    ahogué mis penas anoche?

another neat word: zurdazo (golpe dado con la mano o el pie izquierdo). what would be the word for a goal with the right foot?

slightly non related word i saw in an article about upcoming mundial finals. balonmano (handball). obvious, right? but if it was not for this thread i would not know what it meant.

apparently both words are used: izquierdazo and derechazo. which makes sense.

zurdazo comes from the word zurdo - left handed. diestro is right handed and guess what, a goal with the right foot can be called diestrazo.

i think i learnt enough for one day
