At present, guests are assigned a resort credit card.

Northern Argentina gets direct air connection to Punta Cana
Aerolíneas Argentinas is now flying once a week from Córdoba International Airport (COR) to Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ), making it easier for Argentinean tourists to enjoy the beaches of Punta Cana. This is the airline’s second route to Punta Cana. The airline already flies direct from Buenos Aires International Airport. A B737 Max 8 is used for the flight.

Aerolíneas Argentinas corporate executives came for the inaugural flight last week. A press release says others on the flight were Rhina Olivares, director of the Dominican Tourism Office for Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay; Cecilia Donadille, commercial director for Aerolíneas Argentinas in Córdoba and Silvia Fischer, community relations.

Olivares said on the occasion of the arrival of the first Aerolíneas Argentinas Cordoba-Punta Cana flight that 33,362 visitors had arrived from Argentina to the Dominican Republic in the first half of 2018.

Cecilia Donadille, speaking for Aerolíneas Argentinas, said that the new frequency makes it easy for sun-seeking tourists from Salta, Tucumán or Neuquén fly to the Caribbean without having to make a stopover in Buenos Aires. A distance of 696 kms separates both cities. It is expected that 45% of the domestic passengers the airline carries will connect via the Cordoba Aerolíneas Argentinas hub.

The inaugural flight came with tour operators, travel agents and journalists that were taken to tour the Punta Cana area, and its neighboring areas, La Romana and Juan Dolio. The demand for the destination is expected to increase in the upcoming months when the southern hemisphere enters its summer holiday period.

Juan Luis Guerra at Hard Rock in Punta Cana on 1 December
Now would be a good time to get out your calendar and circle Saturday, 1 December, because on this date Dominican megastar Juan Luis Guerra and young singer Vicente Garcia will hold one show at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Punta Cana, according to SD Concerts, the organizer.

Although Latin Grammy winner Vicente Garcia has accompanied Juan Luis on his tours, this will be the first time that they will share the stage on Dominican soil and offer a complete concert. This will definitely be a delight for fans and another dream come true for the singer of “Carmesi”, who after his triple triumph at the Latin Grammies described Juan Luis Guerra as “a constant inspiration,” and said that Guerra has been his mentor for several years.

The concert will be held on the golf course at the Hard Rock and will include popular songs of the two performers.

At the beginning of August, young Garcia established himself as one of the most complete Dominican artists when he performed his entire repertoire accompanied by the Colombian Symphony Orchestra in Bogotá, Colombia. Both presentations in Colombia sold out in record time to the more than 2,000 spectators who bought tickets to the Roberto Arias Pérez Theater.

On the other hand, Juan Luis Guerra and 4.40 are a huge draw with their never – to-be-forgotten series of merengue’s and romantic ballads.

Tickets for the Juan Luis Guerra and Vicente García show go on sale on Monday, 10 September 2018 at all of the La Sirena stores as well as the Pola Supermarkets, Ticket Express online and Tu Boleta online services.
