Does anyone know of a Makita tool place in the Bavaro area. I just got back and my 18volt Makita batteries are toast. If I had known they were weak I would have packed some.
Americana seems to only stock Bosch here so any help would be appreciated. This is only the tip of whats falling apart this year.
God I love this place and all its differences to Canada.
Thanks

Not sure how handy you are with Electronics, but I hear they can be repaired . The Makita battery pack design seems to be bad, the salt air in the DR probably does not help much.
here is just one Link, there are many more probably

I'm a DeWalt man myself . The 20v batteries charge up amazingly FAST and are relatively light too . And they have never let me down..even after sitting for months .

If I was back home in my shop I would certainly attempt this. Here I will look for a bit then have a friend bring me a pair next month.
Thanks for the link.
