Car Rental -Las Terrenas

The advice we just got from a resident is to rent from Europecar at the airport. And to definitely get the optional insurance. Not crazy about driving from and to the airport, especially on a Sunday, but we will have to at some point.

I rented years ago in LT.... did it locally ... just a guy who rents
We have them in Cabrera....nice cars too.

Yes, SDQ. So, we may just do this. Rent from the airport, so we will have the car all week. In the past we have taken a taxi service to LT. Expensive.
This individual says he only rents from Europcar in DR. They are a European company and are very straightforward on pricing and no BS. He and his wife totaled a rental SUV in Santo Domingo (not sure how he did that) and ended up paying a relatively small amount out of pocket. Europcar handled everything.

Europcar also now has an office in Las Terrenas as an xtra bonus for you...
