    Default Dominican Coffee in Canada

For those who live in Canada and the USA and love Cafe Santo Domingo, there is a 25% off discount for Black Friday with free shipping to Canada and the USA. A box of 16 packages of coffee comes to 110$. The website is dominicansierragroup.com

and at Metro in Toronto. $9.99 Canadian or less when on sale. No need to buy in bulk. Hard to believe in the "duty free" store in Puerto Plata the price is $12.00 U.S.$ I know in the city in Puerto Plata the bags are cheaper, but i got tired of being stopped to have my coffee inspected and sniffed.

“Un reportaje reciente de la agencia EFE destaca que el 92% del café que consumen los dominicanos llega de Vietnam.”

92% of coffee consumed in DR is from Vietnam.

    Indeed.

The Dominican crop is only about 30% of pre-rust levels. Many producers have moved on to other crops, and large producers are gobbling land from small producers. The gubmint promised relief in the form of rust-resistant plants and gave none.

When the crop is back, there will be fewer producers with expanded holdings.
