90% is not dominican. That is why it is ....
By the way, we pay 3 € 250 grams here of real coffee, not mixed up with other stuff.
Bustelo a Much Tastier cafe than the tampered with (everyone knows this) cafe santo domingo.I usually drink Cafe Bustelo while I'm in the US. It's about as Dominican as the stuff available on the island (unless you get it from the estate producers) and it's only about $5/pound.
Even the coffee quality in Jarabacoa has suffered greatly because of the rust. The Ramirez sopent a small fortune on fungicides on their crops and even their traditional high quality suffered.Local coffee in Jarabacoa is 100 percent coffee from the DR. Cost anywhere from 185 to 260 pesos per lb. I can take a trip to Angostura ( near Jarabacoa but higher up) and get it cheaper right off the farm. Monte Alto is pure unmixed Dominican coffee direct from Jarabacoa área. There are several other small local coffee producer that produce and sell a good flavored coffee. you are paying 350 pesos per lb.
For those who live in Canada and the USA and love Cafe Santo Domingo, there is a 25% off discount for Black Friday with free shipping to Canada and the USA.
