My understanding is that Americans wishing to visit Cuba are required to obtain a tourist card or visa prior to boarding their Cuba-bound flight.

Dominicans, by contrast, are permitted to purchase the tourist card upon arrival in Cuba.

It is a lot simpler to visit Cuba from the DR than the US. US has some dumb rules, DR you just go.

We try to keep the list here on DR1 up to date but things keep changing quickly so as others have suggested double check with the Embassy of the country you wish to visit.

Dominicans used to be able to travel to Chile visa free. I know because I traveled there in 2011 with one. I guess it changed?

This post is only for countries where USA citizents needs to apply for a visa and Dominicans dont.

Also Chile do not apply 100% without visa because is tight to USA visa, and visa free for Dominicans means to have just Dominican passport to be able to enter.

It's fine here because it seems that the question might be where an American, or could also apply to Dominicans with a US visa can travel to compared to a Dominican with an ordinary passport that is on our master list.

It might be of some help to the OP
