When I went to banco Reservas here in Jarabacoa they had a different rate that on the website so our secretary phoned Santiago. Santiago said I have to go to Santo Domingo for my first passport . This is different than one I was told when I got my paperwork for citizenship. She then called the passport office in La Vega and they said the same thing. They also said only the Bank Reservas at the santo Domingo office had the correct formula...etc. What hasbeen recent experiences with this?

Yes, for your first Passport you must go to the SD office. There is a or was when I got mine many years ago a special window to go to. After your first one you can renew at any office.

That is pretty much what I got told over the phone which of course is different than what I was told when I did the citizenship.

There was a lot of documentation needed when I got mine. But I was with my lawyer and he took care of everything.

The documentation required is clear and I have all of the documents, just Santo Domingo makes it all day or two days. The websites give two different prices but bank reserves only has the one price, 5650 pesos but doesn't indicate whether that is normal or VIP. i SUSPECT THEY PUT THE NORMAL PRICE UP.

Did they mention anything about applying online? There's a category for Naturalizado but no idea if you can do the first one this way...

Must be only naturalized people as my foster son had his same day in Santiago - first one.
