Hello All,
Being partly blind from birth with vision issues throughout my life, I carefully distinguish the optician from the optometrist from the ophthalmologist, from the ophthalmological specialist. That being said, I cringe when my girlfriend goes to "Optica" one of the chains which offer "free" exams, then escort clients to the counter to sell knock-off designer frames. These places are all about the $$, and although I don't have evidence that their optometric exams for refraction are below par, I do not have confidence.
Does anyone know a place in the capital with medical offices where I could find PAID optometry that is reliable? "Free" = Caveat Emptor in the D.R. or anywhere.
Maybe there are places in Gazcue but I want to do better than walk the streets, poking around.
Any ideas? Thank you!
