If you could have only one of each thing in life...what would yours be?
Here are some of mine:
Music:
-Bachata - Probably Lindas Palabritas - Teodoro Reyes or Esclavo de tu amor - Rafael Encarnacion
-Baladas - definitely Viento Del Otono - Danny Daniel
-Salsa - Incomprendido - Ismael Rivera
-Merengue - Too hard to choose one, but it would probably be something from Sergio Vargas, Fernandito, or Rubby perez (to listen) and something from coco-band or Aramis Camilo to dance when in party mode.
-Perico Ripiao - Comiendo Gallina - Tatico Enriquez
-Son - Baja y tapa la olla - Los Compadres
-Heavy Metal - One - Metallica (IMO one of the best songs ever made)
-Punk Rock - Longview - Green Day
-Pop - Nobody knows it - Tony Rich Project
-Rap - Colors - Ice T
-Reggae - Wake and Live - Bob Marley
-Slow english song - November Rain - Guns' and Roses
Food:
-Entree - Rice with gandules and chicken or Moro con chivo
-Dessert - Flan
-Non-alcoholic Drink - Morir Sonando
-Alcoholic drink - Nothing beats a real cold Presidente on a hot day
-Appetizer - Calamari
-Soup - Clam Chowder
-Candy - Dulce de naranja
-Salads - The so called ensalada Mixta they make in the DR
-Fruit - Mango

-Comedy - The naked gun trilogy
-Action - Pulp Fiction or Gladiator
-Intrigue - The Usual Suspects
-Horror - Nightmare on Elm Street (don't really scare me)
-Drama - Before The Rain (Armenian made movie) - Probable the best movie I've ever seen.

-Entree - Ribeye Steak blackened, arroz y habichelas
-Dessert - Banana Cake, Banana Pie, Banana Pudding...is there a trend here?
-Non-alcoholic Drink - Water
-Alcoholic drink - Would be Presidente if I could get it...settle for French Connection, one part each Gran Marnier and Courvosier warmed
-Appetizer - Jalapeno poppers
-Candy - Dulce de leche, need a good recipe...email me
-Salads - Cole slaw
-Fruit - Like....maybe....banana?

-Action - Anything with Chuck Norris or Steven Segal

-Guilty Pleasure - Banana (surprise, surprise) splits, no pineapple, xtra hot fudge
-Heroes- Ronald Regan...partially for his politics but mainly for his dignity; Leo Buscaglia, whom I met shortly before his death, Rafael Bonnelly, former DR president; Ramon Caceres an old family friend from the DR; and most of all Francisco Moreno, who took a young kid under his wing and adopted him and has always been there for him in good times and bad...my dad.

Balada- Mi historia ente sus dedos

Salsa - Tito Nieves (the one about "corriendo atras de ti como un nino celoso).

Merengue - Compadre Pedro Juan

Perico Ripiao - Me voy para Quisqueya by Guillermo Guante

Dominican Musician: Tie between Luis Vargas or Blas Duran (I really enjoy Blas Durans music because of the social themes it addresses in a very funny way).

Entree - A really big piece of tenderloin cooked on the bar-b-que.

Dessert: Warm apple pie with ice cream on top.

Salad: A lump crabmeat coctail

Drink: Diet Coke with Lemon

Alcoholic Drink: Presidente

Movies:

Magical Realism: Abre los Ojos

Drama: Like Water for Chocolate

Comedy: Nueba Yol (I think Balbuena (Luisito Marti) is great)!

Sport: A good horse show, appaloosas hopefully.

Book: Don Quixote (it would keep me busy).

TV Show: Santo Domingo Invita (I can see all about my favorite place each saturday rignt from home).
