Mozart La Para at Puerto Plata Amphitheater
Mozart La Para, the popular reggaeton singer, will be performing this Saturday 22 June 2019 at the Puerto Plata Amphitheater. This will be a show with a full display of technology, says Luis Medrano, the producer. The concert will celebrate the 12th anniversary of Mozart La Para’s career. The event is sponsored by the Ministry of Tourism.

Showtime is 9:30pm. Tickets are for sale online at Uepa Tickets and at Supermercados Nacional and Jumbo stores.


AA eliminates oversize bag fees for sports and music equipment
American Airlines announces that it has removed charges for oversize sport and music equipment bags for the busy summer travel period.

Now customers can check oversized sports and music equipment as standard baggage, up to the maximum allowed dimensions and within the weight requirements.

AA starts Dallas nonstop flight
American Airlines has begun its nonstop routes with service from Santo Domingo’s Las Americas International Airport (SDQ) to Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) on 8 June 2019. Service is running every week on Saturdays. The flight is seasonal and ends 17 August 2019.

The 4h50minute flight from SDQ to DFW departs DFW at 1:50pm and arrives to SDQ at 5:40pm. Round trip flights are going for US$758. This is the only nonstop flight connecting SDQ to DFW


Flower Festival will be from 20 to 23 June in Jarabacoa
As every year, the Flower Festival Foundation, together with the Jarabacoa municipal authorities and social organizations, are inviting visitors to the Festival of Flowers. The event is a time to experience the lush beauty of the flowers and plants, the culinary specialties of La Vega and the horseback riding culture in the province.

The event is held in the park off Avenida La Confluencia in the town of Jarabacoa. There is an exhibition-sale of exotic and rare flowers and plants, local fruits, arts and crafts.

Promoters of the event are Alba Iris Marmolejos for the foundation, Dionis Duran, director for the Ministry of Tourism in La Vega, Solangel Velázquez, president of the Culinary Association; and Confenagro officials Hecmilio Galván and Pedro Musa. Confenagro is the largest agro producer society in the country.
