Hi all,

I am a fairly new DR citizen and have never gotten a drivers license in DR before.

Any info on what to do, tips? Any way to speed things up?

It is said that if you have a license from elsewhere that can be exchanged for a Dom one without going thru the tests etc...

No speed ups any more....

Pay the fee at banreservas.... apply, write the test...

Learner permit is 45 days minimum before you can apply for permanent

A short cut - go to a Driver's School... Escuela de Chofer....
that will be your fastest route

Most countries except USA have an accelerated acceptance..
that way you jump the process
