    I buy 40 cases and get the same price as a person who buys 4,000....

    Easier math that way and less negotiation.....

    Volume has value.......
    Those jurisdictions that have that volume - control the distribution
    They take the volume discount.... apply a bigger tax
    In my example - it was Ontario Canad and Pennsylvania
    each have more than 10,000,000 residents they serve

    They win ... consumer pays the same or less
    feels nothing

    Government's pocket gets fatter.......

    Firstly i'm talking about import tax, secondly i'm talking about government tax. That's why beer is so damn expensive, just one example.
