Clarifying a bit........

Vehicles with a prior Salvage Title that have been repaired/remedied carry a Rebuilt Title that outlines on its face the prior loss suffered (fire/flood/collision/prior theft etc.). They no longer have a salvage title and are permitted entry to the DR after repair/remedy and 1 year of road registration all in compliance with the 5 year rule.

Salvage is what they are at the time of an adjusted insurance loss.

Rebuilt is what they become after repair/remedy.

i know all that, playacaribe. i worked as a automobile physical damage appraiser for 30 years. there is a salvage CERTIFICATE, which in the state of New York is called a 907A. when the car has been repaired, and inspected in places such as Roosevelt Field, if it has no factors which will disqualify it, it becomes titled as a rebuilt salvage.
