In Sosua:

Margot (Close to Infiniti Blu) will have to try this one now
El Conde (Across from Bon Helado) YES
Scotch and Sirloin YES
Hotel El Rancho (Across from Fraggle Rock)[/QUOTE] YES make sure Andy is there .. his Schnitzel is off the hook

I would add
Bologna ( on Martinez ) for fine dining
and Oceanfront ( on the pricey side but really good) , on Rosen by the Playa Alicia Entrance ..

Bologna - consistently good food and service, no view
Oceanfront (Waterfront?) - awesome views
Sea Horse Ranch - awesome views

Crazy Ranch. On the main Road between Sosua and Cabarete. Opposite Perla Marina. Only place I’ve seen slow smoked brisket on the menu in the DR. Almost as good as my bbq (I said almost).

Since we were afraid of "The badly dressed women who try against the modesty of serious people" :cheeky: we did not eat in Sosua, we went to Tuva instead. Recommended.

On the way back to Santiago we stopped at Belgian Bakery in Cabarete - recommended and went to Kaffe in Puerto Plata - even more recommended.

The former owners of Plan B have opened a new spot in Don Quixote, the development on the right past Residential Hispanola.
Good food and closes at 2 (currently)
Open for breakfast and lunch. Good prices
Different specials everyday. I had some salad and roast beef with Worcestershire sauce the other day and asparagus.
Go to the intersection just before the funky Mundo King museum, turn right, take the next right into the development to the bottom of the hill, then left till you park and they are in the lower corner.
Two new billiard tables too, for patrons, and it's air conditioned.

Can't ever go wrong with a visit to FLIP FLOP in the Beachway Plaza. At the top of the yellow step near the beginning of the beach road.
Daily drink and food specials. Dominican plate of the day. Tacos and wings.
Give them a try, you should be pleasantly surprised with the fare and prices.

Were it fresh asparagus? Or de lata?
