From South Jersey, a drum costs $110 to ship. We've had a new company recommendation, based in Vineland, trying them this week, sending down two boxes, one to Santo Domingo and one to Mao. $70 each to ship, plus their boxes much cheaper. Will report back.

Aside from price considerations, do any of these shippers have an "edge" on the STO DO side, with their broker agent, or customs in general? Meaning of course, does it seem from your experiences that your merchandise moves through quicker
    with them?

peralta used to ship to porto plata but moved to santo domingo due to the custums people overcharging. also peralta is much more vigilante as to the contents of the shipped items as well as shipper and person receiving. drivers license numbers in Canada and cedula number in DR...this due to one of the brothers spending 4 nights in the the local jail. some idiot thought he could send half a barrel with synthetic drugs and get away with it

    Sounds like a good system

Pto Plata dock has a history of being problematic
When my container was coming in.... the Aduana boss in SD warned us about it...
Don't use it , he said

They used to charge 100 pesos for you to enter to identify your goods....

I thought it was all straightened out now

My stuff was in Caucedo.........Haina ain't good either

What is the custom tax going to be? By what basis do they determine the tax?
