We have been tough on them before

I have changed my routine lately and am using them
They have some advantages

Unlike UAL you can check in online
When you buy the more space seat you free drinks and early boarding
They let you order a sandwich in advance

All good for me

Doing SDQ to PHL today and then on to the UK Thursday

So far so good

AA is decent. I use mostly AA when traveling back and forth to the Western USA. I can now travel from the West Coast to SDQ the same day on AA, leave early am and arrive around 10:00pm in SDQ. Where previously it was mostly taking a overnight flight. Plus stopping in Charlotte as opposed to Miami is much more appealing to me. Have a good flight and trip WW.

Is that coffee, tea, milk,,, or booze

They let you order a sandwich in advance

We had VIP arrival in PHL....

Medical problem in the rear...
no circling to land ... a huge bank and a dive down
Brakes that made the belts work...
straight across the runway - traffic stopped except for the ambulance
and deplane at the closest gate to the terminal....

I don't suppose a dead body would get the same treatment

Woman fainted... sugar levl and blodd pressure issue -- said my seatmate
The SWAT team member who helped

OK? I landed once in PTY (Panama) with a dead guy in the seat two behind me. Heart attack is what folks said.

I cannot begin to imagine being in the seat next to the deceased. Perhaps, I can purchase an in-flight upgrade with my points. Yup, I shall continue to get the aisle seat.

Glad to hear that William. I'm using them to go back from California to Santiago on Thursday. (I upgraded at least for the long leg).

with the bigger seat -- just Plus not Business class --
you are Group 5 boarding.... 1 to 4 are the big shot credit card holders and 1st class

On my flight - there weren't 10 of them

Plus seats are the highest of the low..... to put it one way.....

Interesting the differences in people.

I do not enjoy being on planes and try and do all I can to reduce the time I am cramped and uncomfortable.
I tell the gate person I am claustrophobic and ask for the courtesy of being the last to board.
Being the last one cuts down my time aboard and lets me pick any empty seat I find.
As far as the food I am not be interested in airline sandwiches.
I do not ever get tea or coffee as it is made with water from the storage tanks.

We might agree AA not being a great airline but they do not crash much.
The old planes they flew were filthy.
When fuel prices dropped a couple of years ago they bought new planes rather than reduce air fares.
Differences are what makes the world such an interesting place.

They were terrible planes - better now...

UK tonight flight... Plus seat, exit row, free liquor....low UK Pound
just the weekend

So far - it's worked out well enough... this is the test... transatlantic !!

I got a new Chase card - Sapphire
60,000 signup points and they work on all airlines- so I'm ditching the United Explorer card for this one

Look at this nice perk offered Heathrow to USA passengers
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Check in your bags anywhere in London
On your flight out of London Heathrow, check in your bags from your London address with our partner Airportr. Here’s how it works:
1. Purchase the service online.
2. Driver picks up your bags in your chosen 1-hour pick-up slot and scans your passport and boarding pass.
3. Bags delivered to airport screening facility and you receive the tracking information via text.
4. Travel around the city, to and through the airport, without your baggage weighing you down.
5. Proceed to your flight and pick up your bags at Baggage Claim at your first point of arrival in the United States.

WW, not exactly a perk when you have to pay for it. Me thinks perks should be free.

Great.. so you've been to London.

I "choose" AA between SDQ and MIA for one very specific reason. They have monopoly on the routing. Service?!? AA is an easy match for any Middle East or Far East airline.

right = PERK was the wrong word.... after I looked at the website

I was too busy barging the canals to do that at the time

That's the way it was when I flew to Tokyo back in 1986 ... excellent kind of service especially when there are more than one checked bag.
