Many times when I stop lurking and try to post a reply, I will log in , make my message, hit "Preview" or "Submit" and I get back a message that I am not logged in. If I then try to log in, I lose the message I just spent 20 minutes composing. I'm not real smart, and don't want to throw b.s. out on the board, so I take my time writing a thoughtful response.

Is this a "time-out" setting to disconnect someone logged in too long, or an internet connection problem, or do you really just want mostly b.s. messages on the board? (that's fine for the Open Forum, but that's not where I usually post).

If you don't want "cookies" you can do as I do

I compose my message in Notepad then log in and copy and paste. Or if I have already composed the message I highlight and copy it then log in and "post".
