Default Is it worth and safe to go see the Escojido vs Lecey ?

A friend is visiting for the holidays and was wondering if taking him to a game is something you guys would recommend instead of doing the usual, i.e. have a few beers in the ciudad colonial.

    Thoughts?

If this friend enjoys baseball, it could be a great experience and sounds like a wonderful idea. If that's not their thing then something else might be more appropriate and enjoyable. Just make sure you cheer for the same team as everyone else around you is cheering for and you should be fine. :-)

I suggest both. I don't like baseball except for putting me to sleep, HOWEVER in the D. R. it is an experience

Yes, it is safe. Just like anywhere be smart and aware of your surroundings. It is actually a lot of fun.

One one of my much disliked trips to Santo Domingo I actually had three hours of enjoyment. I saw a Dominican baseball game. Both sides had a lot of fun, they joke in a good nature-ed way against each other on almost every play and they have fun without being overly rowdy.

Not like those Boston/NY games which I do so enjoy as well.

UPDATE: my friends and I had a great time at the game. Bought bleachers tickets for RD$150 each (4). Once inside asked if I could get to the field level side and sure enough, fir RD$500 we were escorted to ‘our’ sits right next to a couple of guys who paid RD$650 per ticket. We felt somewhat safe at and around the parking lot. We had a great time.

    Be safe out there guys.

ps. I almost killed a motorcycle Pizza Hut delivery guy who took a red light right in front of me. Had I not taken 3 seconds to star going after the light changed green he would have been history. Moral of the story- take your time driving during the holidays, don’t worry about the guy behind you beeping, look to your left and right when changing lane.

Driving in RD is like driving in Bizzo land .. when turning you have to check everywhere. even on top of your car.......
