Default Good things happening in Sosua

There is a very long thread about everything being shut down in Sosua but what we need is a thread about the good things that are happening in Sosua.
For the first time they have lined the palm trees along the first two blocks of Pedro Clisante. There was just recently a fitness event right on Pedro Clisante. If this is the direction that Sosua is going then I say bring it on!!!
For the haters, please avoid your negative comments, this thread should be just for the good stuff and anyone that has upcoming events should post on this too. I was having some drinks with some friends last night and all of us have lived on the North coast for a minimum of 15 years each, we have all had many drinks in all the places that have been closed down recently and in the past years but each one of us agreed that it is nice to see Sosua taking a stand and trying to attempt to clean this place up. When I showed them this video below their response was the same, bring it on! I am not sure how to just post the video so if someone else has the know how then please go ahead.

Bravo tee for posting, and bravo to the authorities and residents of Sosua. Community building events such as this for, "toda las familias de esta ciudad" are taking place in municipalities all across the RD. It is a very encouraging sign for the forward progress of Sosua.

I'll take a go at it:
    1. That we are recycling a beautiful part of the country so that it might be enjoyed by a wider audience in the future/
2.I won't need to glance over a couple a hundred pages with the word "whore" or its' variations every day on this site.
    3. We might put on the back burner for a while things "negative" about the DR. God knows we need it.
    4. I won't need to scratch my head each day trying to understand why the development of the real estate won't work. Negative opinions I suppose that are totally self serving. Opinions I'm assuming are based on NO real estate development experience.
    5. That I don't need to read another history lesson about prostitution.
    6. That I don't need to listen to how we can empower women, raise their lifestyle, by being a prostitute.
    7. Thanks for the new tread. Lets see how it goes.

The palm trees replaced the big beautiful trees that were there before, the trees that provided a lot of shade and hid the ugly wires. The fitness event is nothing new, it was held all the time in the park by the casino.

I wish they would go back to closing P.C. It was much quieter/peaceful. Get the dam motors off of it. Yea I know it takes away some parking but I'd be willing to park and walk.

Glad to see this happening! Arriving in January and will have friends visiting. While the “old PC” evoked shrugs and laughter, perhaps the new will be better, or at least calmer! Lol!

Perhaps with some urban development and adding a parking lot/garage, even remote with shuttle service, that whole area could become a pedestrian mall for entertainment, with a window of deliveries before 10am.

Took a chance today and bought a bunch of bananas from a girl with a bad back to lighten the load. Turns out you can give them away to kids and nobody threw them back at me. Going to take a chance and post this here.
