A friend here said there was a way to ship my stuff from USA to here without it going through customs. I have been waiting to get the info but he hasn't sent it. I read here that they charged customs on shoes ..but this guys mom sent him about 10 pairs of shoes and it was sent right to his home and there were no customs charges. I just want to bring some of my personal stuff..foto albums..CD's..Videos...my treasures that I couldn't get rid of when I liquidated all my things. There are some clothes and a few pairs of shoes...and some of my jewelry...which I probably shouldn't send by mail. But any info would be helpful.

You might want to consider sending it by courier (FEDEX, DHL, USPS, etc...). If it is used stuff and doesn't seem to be saleable merchandise, it will go through customs but most surely not charged any duties.

try DHL

I sent my Dad a toaster oven, a George Foreman grill and a ceiling fan via DHL.
It was delivered right to his door. No custom charges.

Good Luck
