computers for children

I have an interest in collecting donated computers, and giving them to schools and families in the DR. I think that this would enhance the education of the children, may encourage some to higher education, and improve their employability.

Questions:

1. Do others see this idea as a benefit to the DR?

2. Does anyone have ideas or resources to assist with this idea?

3. Is there a group already doing something in this area?

Any information shared would be greatly appreciated.
