I have just finished my own experiment constructing a miniature model for a supernova heating a 1/2" magnet to a temperature of 3000 deg. Kelvin. Using mathematical models by Subrahmanyan Chandrasekhar which conclude that the mass of an object exceeding 1.4 times that of the sun<N~m/(MR^3)> exceeding the Chandrasekhar Limit has no other options but to either implode into itself creating an event horizon and singularity, or explode outward.
The Schwarzchild Radius of my model was calculated as follows:
r
o=2GM/c2.
Want to try it at home?hehehehe.
