For those who love a little Dominican history, Hector Biembenido Trujillo Molina, Trujillo's brother who was President of DR died at the age of 94. He was a strict man who followed in the mold of Trujillo. During his presidency the Mirabal sisters were killed, and the invasion of Maimon was erradicated. In addition the Galvez killing took place in the US during his mandate.

He was an efficient administrator and the only graduate of advanced military training in the Trujillo family. Because of his frugalness he died extremely rich as opposed to the rest of the family, who died broke or financial straits. When he left DR he never looked back and became a recluse. He was nicknamed "Negro Trujillo" because of his darker complexion and fat lips. He was a sharp dresser with a distinguished appearance and demeanor, although he was known for using foul and common language, sort of like Hipolito. Like his brother, he was also a ladies man who pursued the finest Dominican women, many of whom were thrown at him by their own parents to seek advantages.

Correction

In my post above I mispelled Galindez for Galvez. It was meant to be Jesus Galindez, Trujillo's writer critic, who wrote one mafia story too much.

As for Villa Trina, well it looks like the bad guys live real long wealthy lives after all. If not ask Balaguer, Franco, Howard Hughes and coming up next Pinochet.

They say "Dios lo pagar?."

It seems he paid a big price if he never returned to the DR in 40 years.

Knowing this guy, he didn't miss a thing. He had all the money he needed to go everywhere he wanted. He always wanted to leave, even before Trujillo died to enjoy life abroad. This guy had no use for DR. He didn't even want to be President. That's why he later just walked off.

According to Kalil Hache, the old Trujillo polo player, Bludhorn buddy and socialite, Negro was the richest of all the Trujillos and apparently there is no offspring, just the gringo woman he married. Hummmm?

Negro Trujillo probably would have wanted to be buried with his treasure. He was too close to his money and things. He would help you in many ways, yet he would not give you money. He was that tight. You are right, it will be interesting how his estate will end up since his American wife is so old and few Trujillos are left to claim. But it could be some good money.

Some of that money could take Angelita off the streets. They say she's kind of homeless if she's still alive.
I know there are some distant relatives in Spain. It all depends in the will if there's any.

You are right

Negro was the only Trujillo left with any money. The rest are in bad shape. That only goes to prove that the myth that Trujillo stole everything for himself and his family is a fallacy. He knew the dangers of staying in power with the U.S. after his hide.

Yet he stayed his master plan. Just like Balaguer left no money, Trujillo just left his legacy behind.

Negro didn't even take his clothes with him. He left with heavy luggage full of money and gold, but hardly a king's ramson. Recent presidents have become richer and even some who have not reached power, like political party officials who are mostly multimillionaires.
