I am looking forward to my second visit this year to DR. I will be splitting my time between Boca Chica and Santo Domingo. If anyone is going to be in the area at that time, let me know, could grab a Presidente, etc. My goal is to visit the botanical gardens, and more sightseeing in the capital, and Boca Chica for beach. I also want to learn to dance Merengue. I usually don't post that often and am usually a lurker but I am grateful for this site for providing me with invaluable info. A couple of questions though, does anyone have names of any nontouristy discos/night clubs that have a good atmosphere in Santo Domingo that a mid 20's man like myself would enjoy? Last time in Santo Domingo I visited a couple of museums, Diego Columbus' home, the Cathedral, etc. Any suggestions for must see places for someone who loves history, architecture, etc.
