Does anyone know of a web site where I can find the latest DR laws on property/house takes and taxes involved with buying a house. Frankly, I'm on my third lawyer and in the purchase of the same house and all they have been interested in is lining their own pockets. Please, let me know if you know of such a web site.

There are no recent laws on the amount of transfer taxes due on real estate purchases. The amount to be paid is approx. 5% of the purchase price. Since most buyers tried to cheat by lowering the true price on the deed of sale, the government has established minimum prices based on the location of the property.
