Hello to all, just join the site. I'm not Dominican. I am black, I am american. I am in the Air Force, and recently visited Curacao. I met lots of Dominican girls there and have grown quite fond of them and would like to learn more about the culture and stuff like that. I made lots of friends there and plan to visit the DR from time to time. I am currently stationed at Macdill AFB Florida. I have read a lot of your inputs and we see eye to eye on a lot of things. I don't profess to be a player. I am a single child raised mostly by my mom so I sort of have a soft spot. I read a lot about how us guys get to pick and choose and play as we wish and a lot of the threads make is seem like the girls have nothing to say. Thanks for all the advice. By having a "soft spot" I mean I'm not the wham bam thank you mame(?) now put on your clothes and scram type. I am some what romantic but selectively. I know who will get all sappy and lovey dovey on me and if I don't feel the same way about her I don't waste my time. I also know who is cool and worth keeping around ya know. I admit to giving money, going to dinner and stuff but not in excess, don't forget I am in the military :0). A common saying where I 'm from is "my mama didn't raise no fool". More to come.....

Many American women say the same thing, they really don't care too much about a man's looks. Some do, but many don't. For many, it's all about his presence and how she feels and nothing to do at all with looks. Most men are not pretty.
Many men cannot relate to that and will fuss over their looks to improve their chances. I've never known a female single's advertisement that says she's looking for a muscle man. They usually want tall and honest. Or major attitude. Presence.
