Most of the petroleum used in the DR has been coming from Venezuela. Big problem right now because shipments from Venezuela greatly reduced.

The electricity, such as it is, produced in the DR.

All arrive by boat!

A "LNG",liquifed natural gas, port is being constructed. Also a pipeline to Santo Domingo to allow a power plant to operate on a continuos supply of "GAS"!.."Rick","Cmon"! there are under ground and under sea pipelines that travel thousands of miles!Just not to the DR! POINT: The Combustibles that arrive in the DR are an expensive, and un-reliable way to generate power.A few missed payments by the Government, and we are in the "Stone Age" within a month.Planes were leaving the DR last week with only enough "Gas" to arrive in Miami,or Puerto Rico where they "Filled UP"! READ THE DR1 NEWS EVERY DAY!!!!!!!!!!!CRIS
