Presently I am looking at moving to the DR or Panama. Timing is still unclear, could be anywheres from a couple months to a couple years from now. My wife is from the DR and when I go, I live in the barrios and know how life is there. In the past 4
years I have spent only one night in a AI and that was because I landed late in Punta Cana.

Anyways, one of the things that I have come across in my research, is the following telephone service. It is definitely something that I am going to explore more once I am set-up in the country that we decide on.

I have nothing to do with these people and can not confirm or deny their quality of service. IMHO the US$40 per month might be worth it if the ex-pat still has a lot of family back home. Also another use might even be for a person from let say England. Pick up the phone and use a phone card from the US should
give them a better rate to calling back to England.

Just some info I came across.
