Hello,

I am US Citizen traveling to DR this week, and would like to bring a car radio in my luggage. This radio will be for personal use... not a gift... I paid $550.00 for the car radio. Would I have a problem at the Santo Domingo Airport? Would they make me pay taxes or Customs? How often do they stop people? Does the airport have lockers in the event they give me a difficult time to clear Customs, in which I can store it, until I come back?

Any suggestions.....

Tourists don't tend to have much trouble at SDQ. As long as you're not swinging it over your head there shouldn't be more than a passing glance at the outside of your bags.

I've brought a bike, a set of tools, golf clubs, scanner, computer, soundsystem, camera's and never had a problem.

It's harder to leave than enter.
