Aero Continente Dominicana is still not flying only the route Miami - Santo Domingo

The other routes to Havana and Aruba will starting soon within 3/4 months.

The other routes published will starting on their second phase of Aero Continente Dominicana

Very soon

The flights to JFK from SDQ was planned to launch in November 2002 but with some permits GOV APROVAL they have suspended this route and will be effecting very soon.

Also the routes to Havana and Aruba are suspended by some permits.

Any idea on price for New York to SDQ? It seems like it would be tough to compete with AA. I just paid $394 JFK to POP round trip.

whats date are you traveling?

I saw it for $373 from JFK to SDQ for May. I may pull back and go in July instead.. $552.00!!!!

that si why I don't mind the competition. I welcome all the airlines although I may never use them. AA may just lowwer the fares and I will fly with them.

NAA has it for for $389

AA JFK - POP 5/17/03

I was looking at May 17 - May 24 (Sat.Flights) AA web price is $409.00 US. Thats the same price I paid for next Sat.2/22 - 3/01.
Those flights are JFK - POP.

I'm flying March 11 returning 21. I kept playing with the dates at AAs online site to find the cheapest one. For some reasen to fly on the previous day was like $100 more

May 9-16 is $368 on Aeromar and $331 on AA.

Where is the discount? AA is a more established airline and has a better fare not to mention much more flight options. What makes u think that any person would pay more to fly with Aeromar? Also, u said that in July it is 392 plus taxes..that means the airfare is gonna be $500 or more. I thought the purpose of Aeromar was to compete , not charge more than the other better airlines?

I really do not see the savings...the only good thing that i can think of of is that AA has lowered the afres to give a better price than its competitor.

Aeromar needs to lower the price or it will not last. I hope I am wrong. Why doesn't Aeromar establish themselves in the US? They can become FAA CAt 1 and still be a "Dominican Airline."

I use aa.com also and it does weird things lie that also. The site is better than using Travelocity or any other major airfare seller because they always offer a better price. I just go directly to thier site and find the flights a few dollars less and u buy directly from them.

But you need to understand, Aeromar to rend aircrafts from a FAA Cat 1 country is EXPENSIV because you are self a FAA Cat 2 and as Aeromar hase Cat1 then was the prices much cheaper and to rent the aircraft the same.

also US Airways offers good service and cheap fares.

And if you want realy a very cheap flight

I know that u are promoting Aeromar, but the fares are too high.

From may 9-16 the price is 331.80 including taxes!!


if you do not believe me...go to www.aa.com and see yourself



for july Aeromar is $501 and AA is $552. To be honest, I would be the 552, it not a big difference. I think Aeromar shiould have the flight at least 100 dollars below. I know that they are FAA Cat2 and it is expensive but that is their problem. They will still make money even if they lower the fare.

AA has better rates than Aeromar y si Aeromar quiere seguir compitiendo, tiene que reducir las tarifas.

Usa3000 has 249 to Punta Cana but only one way and it does not inlcude taxes.


$331.80 including taxes is the best deal and is being offered by AA.

Yes i know that, but you need understand, Aeromar give Dominican service with Dominican food etc. and American Airlines have also other services.

The most important is that you go to the DR.

I can say you some good news,

Air Santo Domingo and Aero Continente will fly this route but i cant say when they starting their is some problems with Gov Aproval and some permits.

Air Sanyo Domingo and Aero Continente will introduce low fares and give American Airlines to reduce flights or lower prices it is better for the people lower fares for the same service.

Also Queen Air Services only on Saturday JFK-SDQ-PUJ-JFK operated by Skyservice in a A320-200, for this flight i cant say nothing.

Choose the best for you and think about it their is a lot of choise.

PS; If you want fly First Class you have only 1 choise thats is Aeromar Lineas Aereas Dominicanas.

I am fron from New York.
I have family in Santiago. The most important thing is the safety and fare price. I am really not interested in the food.

I can eat the food when I land in DR. :)

I don't understand, why instead of united good carrier we'll have dozen of companies like Aerocontinente, Viva, Air Santo Domingo, etc.


WE NEED 1 GOOD DESCENT AIRLINE. THE POWER IS IN THE UNION!
