From Mr & Mrs Timex
In getting Ready for MuisicQueens, arrival and meeting people from DR1 Thursday night, I had made reservations for us at the Jaragua. We decided that since we were going in for the DR1 reunion, would stay over and celebrate Valentines Day. The 2 weeks, right up to our making this trip, we were spending allot of time, running back and forth to the doctors. Our middle daughter came down with a stomach parasite, and our son come down with strep throat. Although they were doing much better by Wednesday, we were pretty drained.
Thursday Morning.
My wife and I got up early and packed overnight bags for the kids. We dropped my son off 1st, and made our way to the Capital. My wife?s aunt has a small beauty shop in the old colony. I dropped them off, and proceeded to find my way out of the old colony, and make my way to the airport to pick up MQ, who was landing at 11am. I arrived at the airport at about 11:20, and after looking around for a while, I went to the information desk and ask what time the flight actually arrived, since it wasn?t on the status board. The woman told me it arrived at 10:40am. I looked at my watch and it was now 11:45. I took another look around and was just about to go call the hotel, figuring she must have caught a taxi, since I didn?t show up on time (by DR standards, I was early). All of a sudden I was approached by one of the guys who direct you to a taxi in front of the airport. He asked me (Are you looking for a mujere?) I told him ? No Thanks, I already have one?. He then explained that a ? Gringa? had told him to find me, and that she was up- stairs at the Codetel office, getting her phone connected.
He took me to the Codetel office and right to MQ. I was relieved that she was still there. We introduced ourselves while the guy behind the counter tried to hook-up her phone to work here. We left the airport, and started back to the Capital, my cell phone rang twice, and each time I answered it, I lost the signal. My ESP told me that my wife was trying to see if I was all right. This was the farthest I, have driven solo here, and she didn?t think, I was going to be able to get to the airport and back without getting lost.
On the way back, my mouth was moving faster than my truck, and I realized we were going the wrong direction. After turning around, and finally getting to the Malecon, I told MQ, that I wanted to pass by the shop and see if my wife was ready. We pulled up in front of the shop, and my wife was very surprised to see that we were still in 1 piece, and on-time! I told her that I would drop MQ, at the hotel and come back for her.
My wife and I, got to the hotel, after getting our room, we went down to have lunch with MQ. MQ, told us how she left everybody?s phone #, back home, and she couldn?t believe that she was able to get Jan?s, phone# from the operator, in 1 try. MQ, then said that Jan, was making here way down to the hotel, and was going to hang out with us at the pool. We were all set up, hanging out by the pool, and Jan showed up about 10 minutes later.
For the next few hours I was surrounded by 3 gorgeous women. Although MQ, didn?t drink any Cervesa, the rest of us had plenty. And after the introductions and Q & A?s about how and why each of us were here, the woman started talking about things that would make most adults blush. There were 2 guys lounging next to us, they were both trying not to be noticed, that they were laughing as the women were talking. At times their discussions sent me to go cool off in the pool! Around 6pm we all headed back to get ready for our 7pm with all of the DR1 people.
Back in the room, my wife got sick twice, she wouldn?t listen to me, instead she got herself together and INSITED, we go down to the restaurant. We met up with MQ and Jan, and walked into the restaurant. We were the 1st to get there. We asked them to put a couple of tables together, and were worried that we didn?t have enough table space for all of the people who were going to come.
Jan and I, were on our 1st cervesa?s when, Mr & Mrs. Mommc, Rob and Cleef, came in and everybody said hello. Shortly after, Pib and Own_Rules, showed up. We all had dinner, had some drinks, squared the bill up. My wife the whole time was encouraging me to go out with them, but that she still wasn?t feeling right and wanted to go lay down.

While my wife is recuperating, I am going to go out and dance the night away, the night before Valentines Day, RIGHT!! My ESP told me how not to get a divorce, I made our apologies, and took my wife up to the room. I had to listen to how sorry she was for not feeling well enough to go out, for all of about 20 minutes before she fell asleep.
The next morning we met MQ, for breakfast. My wife was feeling 100% better and wanted to eat everything on the breakfast bar. We listened to MQ, fill us in on how the rest of the night went, (You will have to wait for her to post it). And that she was hoping to meet Hillbilly for lunch when her bus stopped in Santiago. After breakfast, we walked MQ out to her taxi, and watched her leave.
We stayed over and had a fantastic Valentines Weekend.

She is exactly, what you would have pictured her to be from the Forums. I Thank You for the cd?s, and my kids are enjoying your present? from the States. When are you coming back!! You can stay with us anytime, while we convince you not to use your return ticket to Miami.

WOW!!!!! She has definatly got allot of Brass. I respect and admire what she has done in order to be here. Some people would say she?s crazy. She is definatly living La Vida Loca. We are going to get her out for a weekend, I am looking forward to getting her out to my, Colmado?s and Parkacita?s.

I saw him before anybody made any comments as to who he was. I sitting there and I see Mick Fleetwood walking in with this gorgeous woman. As I?m telling my wife, Look! I think the drummer from Fleetwood Mac, just walked in, with that model. I was told the truth. It was Own_Rules and Pib! You guys make a great couple!!

Talk about never judge a book by its cover! Based on her post?s I was expecting a 200-pound gorilla, a member of the SHE-WOMAN, MANS HATER CLUB! With stilettos and a bat.
She is a really nice person.
I apologize we had to leave everybody?s company so early. And I missed the opportunity to exchange ideas with all of you about what to do, about helping out here. I will get in touch with each of you on this.
And as far as agreeing with all of the very nice compliments about Criss Colon, Negro Lindo, Golo, were going to wait untill we meet them in person.
