I was wondering what any of you families do with your kids here, so you can go out. We have debated the live-in housekeeper vs. the daily housekeeper issue. Unless we have a live-in (which we really don't want to do), we have to be home by five, and we cannot go out in the evenings. We cannot do the swapping of child care with friends like we did in the States, cuz all of our friends have a nanny for their kids.
This problem is exaggerated by the fact that we do not yet have a car.
If we do get a live-in, what are the usual duties, hours, pay, etc. We homeschool the kids, so they are under our tutelage all morning and sometimes all afternoon. However, we would like to get out sometimes in the daytime without the kids.
Thanks,
mainer
