Default Must Reading for Anyone Contemplating Marriage to a Dominican

Anna, you mentioned in one of your posts that you were preparing an information sheet for posters with questions about a relationship with a Dominican. Along with HB's rules and whatever else you are considering, I recommend that the post by Fabio in this thread be included http://www.dr1.com/forums/showthread...threadid=22118

Interesting but it's exactly the same if you marry a French and dont make a contract before........ You must give 50 / 50 of everything when you divorce!

There is however some relief to some of you out there... if you marry a Dominican outside of the DR and chose to reside in another country then you are not subject to the DR law, but that of the country you are married/living in. So you might be better off...or yet worse off.

Good thing too is the divorce rate among bi-cultural marriages is actually lower than those of same cultural marriage (if you need documentation let me know).
