Mi Dominicana

It was love at first sight,

I was hooked the first night,

I've never had a feeling like this in my life.

She was warm like spring weather,

I feel I've known her forever,

she's stuck in my mind and I'll never forget her.

She made me want to dance with her infectuous ryhthm,

salsa, merengue and bachata got all in my system.

"Dance with me baby, please hold me near."

These words in spanish she whispered in my ear.

And eventhough she was this way with all of the fellas,

I never felt threatened or even got jealous.

Because when my heart I consider her as my own,

I was lost before but in her I found home.

In her tranquillity I found comfort and rest,

of all I've known before she's the absolute best.

In no way is she rich and probably will never be,

but I love the way she doesn't worry but just lives her life free.

I love her completely, in all her goodness and her faults,

everyday she's the subject of most of my thoughts.

I can't wait till the day I can be with her again,

I know those are moments I will never want to end.

Thanks for all the nice compliments people...

Tony C , I don't waste time trying to be macho, it comes naturally, the fact that I can express myself in this way and not worry about being macho is one of the very reason that I don't have time to worry about now much some old dead guy was getting because I'm getting more that I can handle at times.......but I digress.

It's cool Larry, we all need a good laugh right.

The little poem is more about my first visit to The DR than about a girl anyway. I just called it Mi Dominicana.

Think about it...if it wasn't for the fact that he's in love with this Dominicana, he's the perfect man...

He lives here, really close by...He's not a STW, doesn't need a visa, has a job, and education and some money (?)...he's sweet, sensitive, caring, VERY GOOD LOOKING...and young!
