I do not have a DR driving license for my car. I only have the driving license valid in my country.

I do not have residency here yet, I have stayed more than 3 months.

I pay insurance for my car. Now a friend tells me that it is useless since I need a DR license othervise they won?t pay me money. And to get a DR license I need a residency...

I have payed 2 of my 3 payments on the insurance. Is there any use of paying the last one?

Its for you license to be valid

But I don't think it really matters. Insurance is insurance whether you have a valid license or not...It is the car that is insured.

the trip to haiti is so that your drivers license is valid for 90 more days.
