A friend of mine just had a little baby girl. The baby's mom is Canadian, and dad is Dominican. Since we're going to Sosua next week (***8 MORE SLEEPS!!!***), I'd like to pick out something traditionally Dominican for the baby while I'm there. Of course, my husband has no idea... Any suggestions???

you could buy the baby a small gold bracelt with the gold fist to fight off the evil eye. It also comes with a red ribbon and black fist.

Tiny gold bracelets or chains

You can get an "asabache" at just about any little store here to put on the necklace. That is the black hand with one finger extended that words off "Mal de Ojo". A great gift and always much appreciated...
