Does anyone have any idea how much it will cost (approximate range) to purchase a Jeep TJ new or a couple of years old? Or alternatively, have a web page of a dealership that posts vehicles available for sale?

Thanks

Jeeps??

IMO, Jeeps, in and of themselves, are a oiece of crappo. Somehow, Chrysler just cannot build a good vehicle.

Proven vehicles for this country are the Montero, the Toyota and, if you can find one of them, a Pathfinder..

If by Jeep you mean a 4 x 4, then get a Japanese made diesel, and you can find good ones all over the place..

But DON'T buy new!!! Buy something 4 - 6 years old that you can get a friendly mechanic to check over for you (unless you are qualified yourself to do that). A decent mechanic will save you RD $$$$'s in choosing a reliable motor!! As HB says, go for the Japanese 4 x 4's as parts are more readily available, cheaper & you can regularly find them in "Used" condition too!!

We might be able to give more specific answers to your question if we know where you will be staying - Nort or South of the country?? I bought my Montero in Santiago & am VERY pleased with it!! For indications of price, why not look up Listin Diario's webpage & look at the cars for sale pages!!?? - Grahame.
