cheap rent

I'm looking for a cheap rental, either a single apartment or a room in a house for a friend of mine for about 3-4 months Oct-Dec
Gina is a wonderful young(late 40's) who speak spanish,italian. Serbian...etc. Looking for clean, safe in the $300 dollar range.

she doesn't care if it is in SD or the north coast. She isn't looking for anything fancy, just a clean room, in a safe area. She was raised poor in Croatia and spent 4 months in Mexico last year, so she is well aware of poor people and third world/2nd world living conditions. She just wants to experience another country on the cheap while improving her spanish. She has a small reliable income but can't afford too much.
