I am sure some of you are very aware of these options. I am trying to learn as much as I can for my upcoming move. Still travelling and deciding on exact location. There are more companies than these available. The second website even lists rates and they seem pretty decent. Likely the DR plan is better, but if for some reason you cannot get it, or need coverages they cannot handle...

Have you looked into the insurance available in the DR. If not, do a search of the archives for health insurance or medical insurance. There has been quite a bit on this recently.

Thanks. I have looked through a lot of threads on health care on this board (this place has everything!).

I noticed a post from a family who could not obtain acceptable insurance though. I just thought that this might prove an option for people in similar circumstances or those who travel a lot out of the DR as well.

Could be, but that was an unusual situation. The child had a handicapping condition that kept them from getting insurance here.

But it is good to be aware of alternatives, and I have bookmarked the websites you posted. If you come with up more, I hope you will post them, also.
